I decided to create an Instagram for my typography and sign painting etc, as I found that I follow hundreds of letterers or typographers on instagram, so thought why not set up my own?
I've decided to limit my "designstagram" to my typographic projects and nice type that I see out and about, as typography is definitely more of a passion of mine and what I want to create more of a portfolio from.
Once my personal branding is complete, I'll add my finalised logo to my instagram etc, but for now the display pic is part of a tulip pattern I created influenced by my trip to Amsterdam.
A few days ago I got really excited as one of my favourite typographers called Nim Ben-Reuven liked some of my work on my instagram, so I thought I'd be really cheeky and send him a message through the social media to get some tips from him, and he replied!!!!!!!!

I also contacted Ligature Collective, an instagram set up to promote typographers, as they had appreciated some of my work on my instagram too!
Although I've only recently made my "designstagram", I'm happily receiving some recognition, be it small. But hopefully, the more that I use it the more I can get my name out to get commissioned pieces when I graduate and to promote my work!!
