OUGD602: The Stedelijk Museum

by Roxxie Blackham on Saturday, 11 April 2015

I spent the past week in Amsterdam and of course paid the Stedelijk museum a little visit. There was such a variety of work to be seen, and I really enjoyed the day spent in there looking around absorbing it all!

To Conclude
I really enjoyed having a look around the Stedelijk museum. It was really interesting to see such a variety of art and design mixed together and exhibited in one building, which was different to most museums I've been to! It was also great to see all the Dutch design exhibited, as it has such a typical Dutch feel and is quite different to a lot of the work that I see produced by my peers or local British designers.

Overall I think the time spent in the Stedelijk was definitely worthwhile and influential. I came away with a few different designers to look into and a list of books that I want to purchase for further reading.
